Be sure to vote on October 17 at Meaden Hall (the Legion), the Library, or Fullford Hall annex. Early voting is available October 7 and 14 at the Library and Meaden Hall.
The fine print: B.C.'s Local Elections Campaign Financing Act sets out who may contribute to a local election campaign. To make a campaign contribution you must be a resident of B.C. and a Canadian citizen or permanent Canadian resident. Organizations, including businesses, unions, societies and associations, cannot contribute or reimburse someone else for contributing. Contributions must be made with your own funds. They cannot be made indirectly through another person, or be reimbursed by anyone. The 2026 limit is $1,429.70 per contributor, per campaign. This applies to money, property and services combined.
I am required to record your full name and residential address for every contribution. If you give $100 or more, your name and the amount will be published by Elections BC in its Financial Reports and Political Contributions system. Campaign contributions are not eligible for tax receipts.
